I cast a spell before every retreat

Sometimes I journal. Not religiously or anything. But sometimes when it's particularly loud in my head or I feel far away from my inner knowing, I find a quiet corner, light a candle and journal to myself, from myself. (I actually share this ritual in detail in the Inner Knowing Digital course, btw).
I found myself in a similar state about six months ago, and I put pen to paper to ask my higher self why I would ever choose to plan another retreat (spoiler alert: they're a lot of work!) and what value it could offer to a woman like you.
I found myself writing casual things like “pleasure is magnetic and creates worlds and paradigm shifts” and, “What if they remembered they ARE the medicine?”

And then I wrote this line that still gets me every time:
“They would come alive; they would plug back in. They would remember who they truly are and not who the world expects them to be. They would realize the power of their joy and aliveness.”
I closed my journal after I wrote that and forgot about the entry until unsurprisingly the page flipped open the morning of my last day of my last retreat on Isle of Palms, and I read the entry with tears streaming down my face.
Mission accomplished. ✔️
My retreats aren't surface-level vacations, but wowza do I go ahead and make them a five-star experience from my wildest dreams. My retreats are for the women who are tired of inner work feeling like punishment. Who are ready for healing to feel… good. Fun. Nourishing.
