I AM redefining the American Rancher with Natalie Kovarik
In this episode, I had the joy of chatting with a fellow champion and connector of women with a big message and a beautiful platform. Natalie Kovarik is pioneering a new conversation around Agriculture and ranching & reconnecting more city girls (like G) to the beauty and importance of connecting to your food.
In this episode
The BTS of growing up on and running a family ranch
How marriage & relationship fears can manifest for women in completely different walks of life, and why you shouldn’t let that discourage you.
What being a “ranch wife” really means.
The power of women coming together in intimate retreats.
The importance of reconnecting to our food and Natalie’s message of why agriculture & the food industry are not black and white, but a complicated web.
And lastly, and perhaps most importantly, why AG (agriculture) is NOT the problem
Guest Info
From the heart of the Nebraska Sandhills, Natalie Kovarik shares her ranching and familying story online to showcase the beauty behind the western lifestyle as well as foster a community who supports and trusts in Agricultural as much as she does. She and her husband own and operate Kovarik Cattle Co, a cow calf operation with a growing registered herd, and she spends most of her days collecting meaningful moments on the ranch bouncing around in a dusty old tractor or out in pasture on horseback. With roots firmly planted in the ranching community, she uses her platform to not only tell the truth behind Agriculture, but also empower and teach women in Rural/Ag/Western Communities how to build a social platform and successfully advocate online.
